Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the Scientific Steering Committee, I am delighted to invite you to the 11th European Round Table on Fabry Disease which is to be held in Istanbul, Turkey on 15-16 October, 2010.
The programme has been created to provide a comprehensive update on advances in the pathophysiology, diagnosis and clinical management of Fabry Disease. The Round Table will be highly interactive, with a variety of different formats designed to maximise the opportunities for discussion and debate; these will include poster tours, an interactive case conference together with plenary lectures with ample time allocated for interaction with the faculty members. The intention is to encourage experience exchange and foster networking among the Fabry community.
My colleagues on the Scientific Committee and I have given a great deal of thought to this year’s programme and are keen to introduce novel content and perspectives on the disease. The programme will focus on four important aspects of the management of Fabry Disease: basic science, the thorough assessment of patients, the management of overlooked symptoms and the adjunctive treatment of cardiac, renal and neurological manifestations.
As already mentioned, a case conference will be an important feature of the programme and this will provide the opportunity to discuss interesting cases that illustrate some of the challenges that are faced in clinical practice. Participants will have the opportunity to share their opinions and experience and to discuss patient management with the invited faculty.
I look forward to welcoming you to Istanbul for this meeting and hope that you will find it an interesting and rewarding experience.
Kind regards.
Yours sincerely,
